The signs of pregnancy would vary from woman to woman. The most obvious sign of pregnancy is the absence of menstruation (amenorrhea).

However, some women may continue to have bleeding even while being pregnant.

The most common early signs of pregnancy include :

vomiting or nausea

A cravings or aversions for certain food

A bloating of the abdomen

fatigue, tiredness

sore & swollen breasts

frequent need for urination

skin around the nipples may darken ( also known as areola )

bluish purple vaginal & cervical tissue caused due to blood engorgement, which could be detected during a pelvic examination.

However, these early signs may not positively indicate pregnancy. A pregnancy test can provide more accurate results & confirm if a pregnancy has occurred.A Pregnancy is confirmed with a pregnancy test. A pregnancy test can be performed on blood or the urine. Blood tests are considered accurate & help detect pregnancy by the second week after conception. Women can also conduct an home pregnancy tests by testing their sample of urine about two weeks after the conception. A Pregnancy test helps to detect the presence of human chorionic gonadotropin hormone ( popularly knon as hCG). The Levels of hCG hormone approximately doubles up every 2 days during the first 60 days of pregnancy. It is advisable to always ask your physician to confirm a home pregnancy test with a physical examination & reliable tests.
